The Upper Pottsgrove Township community in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is facing renewed attention following the fatal police shooting of 22-year-old Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher IV.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of August 23, 2026, began with a 911 call reporting a possible break-in at a residence on Snyder Road and ended with the college student being fatally shot by a responding police officer.
Emergency Response in Upper Pottsgrove
According to reports, police were dispatched shortly after midnight after a homeowner reported suspicious activity at the property. Officers arrived and encountered Pysher near the rear of the residence. An encounter followed, during which an Upper Pottsgrove Township police officer fired at Pysher.

Sean Farrell, 58, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection with Pysher's death.
