With heavy hearts, the family of Mylin David Black Foot Paul announces his passing on July 16, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Lumberton, North Carolina.
Born on September 9, 1996, Mylin’s 28 years were marked by a bright spirit, generous heart, and deep connection to his local community.
Mylin was a man whose presence could be felt in every room his laughter was contagious, his smile reassuring, and his words always encouraging.
Known affectionately as “Dave” by close friends and “Black Foot” in pride of ancestral heritage, he was cherished for his authenticity, compassion, and tireless loyalty. Mylin didn’t just live in Lumberton he helped make it a warmer, kinder place.
A devoted son, brother, and friend, Mylin took immense pride in family traditions and relationships. He was the glue that held gatherings together, an empathetic listener, and a source of comfort for those in need. His ability to connect across generations and backgrounds was truly remarkable.
Whether coaching youth sports, volunteering at community events, or mentoring local teens, Mylin made it his mission to uplift others.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Revels Funeral Home (3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360).
A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the same location. The burial will take place later that day at Faith Cemetery (5190 Fayetteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360)
Mylin’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him both his immediate kin and the broader community.
