James Everett Anderson of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 64. His departure leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him.
Born on August 24, 1961, in Webb City, Missouri, James was a lifelong resident of the community he so dearly loved. He was the son of the late Harold Anderson and Margaret (Evans) Anderson, both of whom instilled in him the values of hard work, humility, and compassion.
James was a proud graduate of Webb City High School, class of 1979, and later pursued a career in skilled trades, becoming a respected electrician known for his honesty, dedication, and craftsmanship.
For over four decades, James built a reputable name for himself working with local businesses and homeowners alike. He was meticulous in his work and always took the time to help others,
whether it meant staying late to finish a job or mentoring young apprentices new to the field. His work ethic was unmatched, and he treated every project with care and attention.James was not only a hardworking professional but also a devoted family man. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda (Reynolds) Anderson, in 1982, and together they shared 43 years of unwavering love and companionship. Their bond was a testament to enduring commitment and mutual respect.
Together, they raised two children, Emily and Thomas, who were the pride and joy of James’ life. He took great pleasure in attending their school events, teaching them life skills, and guiding them with gentle wisdom.
Outside of work and family, James was a man of many interests. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and working on home improvement projects during his free time.
Friends and neighbors could often find him in his garage, tinkering with tools, listening to classic rock, and sharing stories. He was known for his warm smile, sharp wit, and the quiet strength he brought into every room he entered.
James was also a man of quiet but deep faith. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Webb City, where he found comfort and community among fellow worshipers. His spiritual strength carried him through life’s challenges, especially in his later years as he faced health issues with courage and grace.
He is survived by his beloved wife Linda; daughter Emily Carter and husband Jason of Springfield, MO; son Thomas Anderson and wife Rachel of Kansas City, MO; three cherished grandchildren, Lily, Ethan, and Noah; his sister, Janet Miller of Tulsa, OK; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
