Frederick Ralph Lyon III, Saint Albans, WV - Obituary- Death News - Frederick Ralph Lyon III, Has Passed Away

With heavy hearts, the family of Frederick “Fred” Ralph Lyon III, aged 51, announces his peaceful passing at home in Saint Albans, West Virginia, on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1973, Fred was a beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick “Rick” Ralph Lyon II and Patricia Ann Egnor Lyon, as well as his stepfather, Danny Pruden.

Despite deep loss, Fred’s life was shaped greatly by family love and support throughout his journey.

Fred is survived by his sister, Susan Lyon Jarrell and her husband Robert, along with his significant other, Danielle Stanley.

He also leaves behind his stepsister Danielle Shomo (Pruden), and extended family including niece Hattie Stump (Jarrell), and cousins Ian, Erin Ann, and Erica Anne Egnor. His circle of loved ones extended further to include his uncle Tim and aunt Becky Egnor, who meant the world to him.

Fred led a warm and caring life full of compassion and loyalty. He had a radiant spirit that touched those around him—bringing quiet joy and steady presence rather than grand gestures.

Friends often spoke of his gentle humor and thoughtful nature; he was the friend who listened without judgment, offered help without hesitation, and quietly made life better by simply being there.

A viewing and celebration of life will be held under the care of Keller Funeral Home in Saint Albans.

The family invites all who knew Fred to join in honoring his memory, sharing stories, and offering support. Exact details for the memorial service will be shared by the funeral home.

These contributions are a thoughtful way to honor his generosity and love of giving.

Fred’s passing leaves a profound void, but also a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and compassion. Though he is no longer with us in person, his warmth lives on in the countless lives he touched.

May he rest in peace, forever surrounded by the affection and gratitude of those who were privileged to know him.
