Alex Scott Collins, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2025 at the age of 39.
A lifelong resident of Anderson, Indiana, Alex’s warm spirit and gentle heart left a deep impact on everyone who knew him.
Born on March 20, 1986, Alex was the loving son of Julie Meyer (Ronnie) and Perry Collins (Karla).
He was close to his siblings Ryan Baker, Dillon Hiatt (Hillary Robertson), Adam Brosio (Kerrigan), and Andres Scott Florit and shared a special bond with his wife, Savannah Lundgren.
His family also included adored nieces and nephews, as well as his cherished pets: Einstein, Pepper, Zorro, Boba Fett, Ripley, Fuyumi, Eevee, and Waffles.
Alex's connection with animals was extraordinary. He poured boundless love and care into his fur family, advocating for their happiness and wellbeing every day. His home was their refuge, and Alex made space in his heart for each one.
Professionally, Alex was known for his steadfast work ethic and unwavering dedication.
Though the specific details of his career remain private, colleagues and friends remember a man who took pride in his work, approached challenges with positivity, and treated everyone with respect.
A devoted family man, Alex found his greatest joy at home. He and Savannah built a life together centered on laughter, shared adventures, and quiet evenings.
He was a pillar of emotional support, always ready to lend an ear and offer advice. His family was both his anchor and his inspiration.
Alex will also be remembered for his generosity. Whether volunteering through Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory or pitching in quietly in the community, he embodied a spirit of giving. His kindness radiated through every action, from small acts of consideration to deep expressions of loyalty.
On July 21, 2025, a visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, located at 200 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Alex’s name—either a pet food gift card or through Loose Funeral Home to support his fur babies.
Although Alex’s time with us was too short, he remains alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
His legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire.
May we honor his memory by carrying forward the gentle, unforgettable spirit he shared.
