Ruby Lee Underwood, a 29-year-old mother of two, tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 90 and SW 36th Street. According to the San Antonio Police Department, four motorcyclists were involved in the crash. 

Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed spun out, causing a chain-reaction collision. Underwood was unable to stop in time and was thrown from her motorcycle, resulting in her death at the scene. 

The driver and owner of the vehicle allegedly fled but were later detained and released pending further investigation.

Ruby was a beloved member of the San Antonio community, known for her vibrant spirit and deep connections with her family and the local biking community. She leaves behind her two children, CJ and Sofia, who were her world. 

A memorial has been established at the crash site, and tributes have poured in from friends and family, remembering her as the "heart and soul" of her family.

In the wake of this tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to cover funeral expenses and support Ruby’s children. The campaign raised nearly \$3,500 within 24 hours, reflecting the community's outpouring of support.

Ruby's passing has left a profound impact on her family, friends, and the San Antonio community. Her memory will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
