It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Rose Zepeda, who passed away on May 24, 2025.a beloved resident of Yorkville, Illinois, who left this world unexpectedly at the age of 34. Jennifer's untimely death has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, as she was a bright light to her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, her infectious laugh, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Jennifer was born on March 22, 1989, in Yorkville, Illinois. From a young age, she demonstrated a deep sense of empathy and care for others, qualities that carried throughout her life. 

Whether through volunteering, offering a listening ear to those in need, or simply being a source of comfort to her loved ones, Jennifer consistently put others before herself. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and her warm heart made her a cherished friend to many.

A graduate of Yorkville High School, Jennifer pursued a career in early childhood education. She worked as a teacher’s aide at local schools and was deeply passionate about nurturing the minds of young children. Her gentle spirit and patience were evident in the way she interacted with her students, and she was known for fostering an environment where children felt safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. She had a special gift for making everyone around her feel valued and loved.

Jennifer’s family was her greatest joy, and she treasured her role as a daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Susan Zepeda, her siblings, Jessica (James) Williams and Michael Zepeda Jr., and her nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she was always there to offer support, guidance, and love when it was needed most.

Outside of her professional life, Jennifer was an avid lover of the outdoors, enjoying nature walks, hiking, and spending time with her close-knit group of friends. Her joyful spirit was infectious, and she always knew how to make every moment feel special, whether it was through shared laughter, games, or heartfelt conversations.

Jennifer’s passing has left a void in the lives of all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held to honor her memory and to allow family and friends to come together and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. Jennifer’s legacy will continue to live on through the love and kindness she spread throughout her community, and she will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, sister.
