It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George (Jorge) Elgersma, a beloved figure whose life touched many in profound ways. 

George, known affectionately known as "Cheapo Felipo by his friends and family, passed away after a courageous battle following a severe stroke leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and an unwavering passion for life.

George's journey was marked by a spirit of adventure and a commitment to building meaningful relationships with those around him.  

George's professional life was not only about success but also about making a positive impact in the lives of those he worked with, whether it was through his leadership, mentorship, or sheer dedication to his craft.

George's love for Mexico was well-known, and he embraced the country with open arms. His deep admiration for its culture, people, and traditions became an integral part of his identity, and formed lasting friendships with those he met along the way. His passion for Mexican culture, from its rich history to its vibrant art, food, and music, was contagious, and he was always eager to share his experiences with others. 

George was a firm believer in the power of cross-cultural connections and sought to foster understanding between different communities throughout his life.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, George was a man of deep personal integrity. His family was his greatest source of pride, and he was a devoted partner, parent, and friend. He is deeply missed by his wife Rosita, son Alan, daughter Bianca, and his beloved grandchildren, to whom he devoted his heart and soul.

Known for his generosity, George always made time for those who needed support, whether it was through listening, offering advice, or simply being there during tough times. His sense of humor and infectious laughter brightened many gatherings, making him a cherished presence in any room.

Though George (Jorge) Elgersma has left us far too soon, his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His impact will be felt for generations to come, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
