Namar Hicks Obituary-Death News; Namar Hicks Passes Tragically, Leaving Family, Friends, And Community Deeply Grieving

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely and tragic passing of Namar Hicks, who departed this life far too soon. Namar’s sudden loss has left family, friends, and the broader community in a state of mourning, as his warm spirit and generous heart are deeply missed by all who knew him.

Namar was born on May 12, 1992, in his hometown, and from early on, he showed a gentle kindness and a calm wisdom beyond his years.

He grew up surrounded by loving family his parents, two sisters, and a close network of relatives and friends and he always valued those bonds deeply. He excelled both academically and socially, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

In his professional life, Namar worked as a community outreach coordinator for a local nonprofit focused on youth development, and his passion for service defined much of who he was.

He was a tireless advocate for young people, helping organize mentorship programs, scholarship initiatives, and after-school projects. He believed strongly in the power of education, compassion, and opportunity  and he sought every day to make a difference in the lives of others.

His colleagues often remarked that Namar had a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He carried himself with humility and integrity, bringing out the very best in those around him.

Whether he was tutoring a struggling student, mentoring a teenager unsure of their path, or leading a community event, his presence was always genuine and purposeful.

Outside of work, Namar was known for his warmth, his laughter, and his love for music. He was a gifted guitarist and spent many evenings playing for friends, at local community gatherings, or simply for his own soul.

His creativity and compassion went hand in hand  in his songs, he spoke of hope, of struggle, of dreams.

On the weekend of November 10, 2025, Namar was involved in a tragic accident that claimed his life. The exact circumstances remain under investigation, but the outcome was heartbreaking.

His passing has shocked those who knew him and resonated far beyond his immediate circle. The grief in the community is palpable, as countless people mourn not only the loss of a friend, a teammate, a mentor and for many, a brother.

Namar leaves behind his parents, his two sisters, nieces and nephews, and a wide family of friends and co-workers who adored him.

His legacy is marked by the lives he touched: the young people he inspired, the community he strengthened, and the kindness he showed in small moments.

In many ways, his work will continue through the programs and relationships he helped shape.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Riverbend Community Center, beginning at 2:00 PM. Friends, family, and community members are invited to come together to celebrate Namar’s life, to share memories, and to find solace in one another.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the youth mentorship fund he founded, so that his vision for helping young people can live on.

Though Namar Hicks is gone, his spirit endures in every life he touched, every hopeful young person he empowered, and in the music he shared.

He was, and will always be, a force for good. May his memory bring comfort, and may his example inspire us all to live with compassion, purpose, and love.

Rest in peace, Namar. You will be deeply missed  but never forgotten.
