Holiday Pajamas and a Trail of Fear: The Manhunt That Shook Clearjoy Street

In the quiet suburban calm of Clearjoy Street a place better known for modest homes, trimmed lawns, and early holiday decorations no one could have imagined the chaos that would erupt on the afternoon of November 22, 2025.

Yet by 3:15 p.m., the street had transformed into a crime scene. Police tape fluttered in the cold breeze, cruisers lined the block, and shocked neighbors watched from behind curtains as officers converged on a single home.

Inside, a man in his 50s lay fatally wounded, the alleged victim of a shooting that shattered the peaceful veneer of the neighborhood.

The suspect, 25-year-old Nicholas Jaglal, had already fled leaving behind not only the life he’d known, but the horrific scene of violence police believe he created.

Witnesses reported a surreal and unsettling image: Jaglal running from the residence in holiday-themed pajama pants, the kind covered in cheerful blue Christmas patterns, paired with a bluish-pink hoodie and white-soled shoes.

The clothing might have seemed innocently festive under any other circumstance, but here it painted a far darker picture. Officers stated that his father’s blood was likely still fresh on him as he ran.

That striking image holiday pajamas streaked with the aftermath of a tragedy has come to define the incident on Clearjoy Street. It symbolizes the shock, confusion, and disbelief gripping the community.

Despite Jaglal’s slight build only five-foot-three, thin, with distinctive braided black hair and tattoos running down both arms it is the outfit that investigators believe could complicate the search.

The bizarre wardrobe may allow him to slip past people who would otherwise be on alert. In a season where malls, streets, and homes brim with quirky holiday attire, blending in may be easier than expected. And that possibility has intensified the urgency of the manhunt.

Peel Regional Police responded initially to what was classified as a routine disturbance call. But when officers entered the home, they found a scene far worse than anticipated.

The victim was pronounced dead shortly after police arrival. Jaglal, meanwhile, was nowhere to be found.

Authorities swiftly issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder, the latter raising troubling questions about whether someone else was present or harmed during the violence.

Police have not yet clarified the circumstances surrounding that second charge, fueling speculation about what truly unfolded inside the home before the shooting.

Acting Sgt. Tyler Bell addressed the public and Jaglal himself—with a calm but forceful statement: they will find him, and they will not stop searching. It was both a reassurance to residents and a stark warning to the fugitive.

Investigators have remained tight-lipped about what may have triggered the shooting. Whether there were prior signs of conflict, a history of tension, or a sudden escalation, no details have been disclosed.

The home remains sealed off as forensic teams work methodically, gathering every piece of evidence that might reveal the sequence of events. Meanwhile, officers and K-9 units have been canvassing nearby parks, transit routes, and commercial areas, hoping to trace Jaglal’s path.

How long can someone evade capture when so much about them is already known—appearance, clothing, name, and alleged crime? Police believe not long.

As the investigation continues, the community mourns the life cut tragically short and confronts the unsettling reality that violence can erupt anywhere even on a street known for holiday lights and quiet nights.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to those grieving in the wake of this devastating loss.
