Virginia Aline Bennett, age 94, of Barren County, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at Glenview Health & Rehab Center, surrounded by love and comfort as she held the hands of her two devoted daughters. Her gentle spirit and steadfast faith carried her through a long life richly blessed with family, friendship, and simple joys.

Born to the late Roscoe and Annie Mae Neal, Virginia grew up with strong family values that would guide her throughout her life. She carried those lessons into her own home, where she became the heart and foundation of her family. 

A devoted homemaker, Virginia dedicated herself to caring for those she loved. She created a warm and welcoming home filled with kindness, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals that brought everyone to the table. Her door was always open, and her wisdom, patience, and nurturing nature touched all who knew her.

Virginia’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children: Chuck Bennett (June), Brenda Morgan (Myron), and Patricia Rutherford (Eric). She also leaves behind her dear brother, Lawrence Neal. 

Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Each generation carries a piece of her strength, resilience, and unconditional love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa Bennett; her son, Gary Bennett; her grandsons, Gary Green and Phillip Sexton; her sisters, Jean Byrd and Elizabeth Abner; and her dear companion, Charles Luther Bennett.

Though her heart endured great loss throughout the years, Virginia remained steadfast in her faith and devotion to her family, serving as a source of strength and comfort to others even in her own times of sorrow.

Those who knew Virginia will remember her gentle smile, her quiet determination, and her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures spending time with family, sharing stories of days gone by, and celebrating holidays and milestones surrounded by those she loved most. Her life was a testament to perseverance, humility, and grace.

Virginia’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into her family will endure for generations to come. The lessons she taught about kindness, loyalty, and the importance of family remain her lasting gift to all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.

As her family says their final goodbyes, they find comfort in knowing that her long and beautiful life was one well lived and deeply cherished.
