Rebecca S. “Becky” Pedigo, age 79, of Glasgow, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A lifelong resident of Barren County, Becky was born into a family deeply rooted in the community and was the daughter of the late G. B. Dockery and Minnie Lee Houk Siddens. Her life was one defined by service, faith, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Becky dedicated many years of her professional life to education as a teacher with the Glasgow City Schools. She took great pride in her work, understanding the lasting influence a teacher can have on young lives.
Former students and colleagues alike remember her as patient, caring, and committed, someone who believed in the potential of every child. Her classroom was not only a place of learning but also one of encouragement and kindness, reflecting the values she carried throughout her life.
Following her retirement, Becky remained active and engaged in her community. She devoted much of her time to the Barren County Homemakers, where she formed lasting friendships and continued to share her talents and knowledge with others.
Becky found joy in the simple pleasures of life cooking meals that brought people together, baking treats that filled her home with warmth, and creating crafts that reflected her creativity and attention to detail. These activities were expressions of her love, often shared generously with family, friends, and neighbors.
Above all else, Becky cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her immense happiness, and she delighted in watching them grow, learn, and thrive.
Her family was the center of her world, and she supported them with quiet strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her presence offered comfort and stability, and her guidance will continue to resonate in their lives.
Becky was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where her faith was an important foundation throughout her life. Her church family was a source of fellowship and spiritual support, and she lived her beliefs through compassion, humility, and service to others.
She is survived by her two children, Brian Pedigo of Glasgow and Brandi Sanders and her husband Dustin of Smyrna, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Kaleb Pedigo and Danielle Garmon; one great-grandchild, Lennyx; her sister, Mary Beth Siddens of Glasgow; her brother, Alan Siddens of Glasgow; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
