Community on Alert as Search Continues for Missing 17-Year-Old Hailey Buzbee in Fishers

Authorities and community members are continuing their search for 17-year-old Hailey Buzbee, who has been missing since early January, prompting growing concern across Hamilton County and beyond.

According to the Fishers Police Department, Hailey was last seen on the night of January 5, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., near her home in the Enclave at Vermillion neighborhood.

The area is located near 101st Street, close to Flat Fork Creek Park. She was officially reported missing on January 6, 2026, and police have confirmed that she remains missing as of today.

Hailey is described as a 17-year-old female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a white blouse, grey jeans, and a black puffer jacket.

She was also carrying a distinctive pink Vera Bradley duffle bag, which authorities believe could be an important identifying item for anyone who may have seen her.

The Fishers Police Department has not released details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, citing the ongoing investigation.

However, officers have emphasized that there is no indication Hailey has been located or made contact with family or friends since she was last seen. Detectives continue to follow up on tips and are working closely with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

“Every piece of information matters,” police said in a statement. “Even details that may seem small or insignificant could help us determine where Hailey went or who she may have been with.”

Family members and community advocates have been actively sharing Hailey’s information on social media, hoping increased visibility will lead to new leads. Missing person cases involving juveniles are especially urgent, experts say, as the first few weeks are often critical in locating someone safely.

Residents in the Fishers area are encouraged to review any security camera footage, doorbell videos, or dashcam recordings from the evening of January 5 and early morning hours of January 6, particularly in and around the Enclave at Vermillion neighborhood and Flat Fork Creek Park.

Anyone who may have seen a teen matching Hailey’s description, or noticed someone carrying a pink duffle bag, is urged to come forward.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has also issued a missing child case for Hailey, assigning Case Number 2073761. NCMEC officials stress that sharing verified information can play a vital role in locating missing children.

Anyone with information about Hailey Buzbee’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Fishers Police Department at (317) 595-3300 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678. Tips can be provided anonymously.

As the search continues, authorities and loved ones remain hopeful that public awareness and community support will help bring Hailey home safely.
