Diane E. Sott passed peacefully into heaven on December 15, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at Allied Service Hospice in Wilkes-Barre. Her passing marked the end of a life defined by compassion, devotion, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

While her loss leaves an undeniable emptiness, her memory remains a source of warmth and inspiration to those she leaves behind.

Born on May 12, 1960, in Wilkes-Barre, Diane was deeply rooted in her community and family from the very beginning. She grew into a woman whose life centered on caring for others, always placing the needs of her loved ones before her own.

As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Diane embodied patience and unconditional love. Her home was a place of comfort, where family members felt safe, welcomed, and deeply valued.

Diane was especially known for her “green thumb,” a talent that brought beauty and life to everything she touched. Her gardens were more than just collections of plants; they were reflections of her nurturing spirit. She found joy in tending to flowers, watching them grow and thrive under her care, much as she did with her family.

Alongside her love of gardening, Diane had a deep affection for animals. Her pets were not just companions but cherished members of her family, offering her comfort and joy throughout her life.

Family time was sacred to Diane, and nothing brought her greater happiness than being with her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing stories, offering gentle guidance, or simply enjoying their laughter.

Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced wholeheartedly, leaving behind memories that her grandchildren will carry with them forever.

Diane also had a love for the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping. One of her most cherished places was Centennial Lake in Canada, where she found peace in nature’s quiet beauty. Those trips offered her a chance to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life—casting a line into the water, sitting by a campfire, and making lasting memories with her family.

In her final days, Diane was surrounded by the people she loved most, a testament to the strong bonds she built throughout her life. The compassionate care she received at Allied Service Hospice provided comfort not only to her but also to her family, who remained by her side until the very end.

Diane E. Sott will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and beloved pets. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely, the lives she nurtured, and the countless memories she created. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
