The community of Lismore, Cappoquin, and the wider West Waterford area is united in sadness following the passing of Maura Purcell (née Burke) of Glenribbeen, Lismore, and formerly Church Street, Cappoquin. 

Maura was widely known, deeply respected, and affectionately regarded by all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her death marks the end of a life defined by kindness, quiet strength, and a steadfast devotion to family, neighbours, and community.

Maura’s roots in Church Street, Cappoquin, shaped much of the compassion and neighbourliness that became synonymous with her character.
