George B. Harrison, Winter Garden, FL - Obituary - Death News - George B. Harrison, Has Passed Away

It is with deep sorrow that the family of George B. Harrison announces his passing on July 21, 2025.

A proud Marine Corps veteran who served honorably during the Vietnam era, George lived a life defined by dedication both to his country and to those he loved.

He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by familiar comforts, leaving behind a legacy of service, passion, and family devotion.

Born with a spirit of determination and a heart full of compassion, George embraced life with authenticity and purpose.

His time in the Marines was a defining chapter, shaping his values of discipline, loyalty, and resilience.

He carried these traits with him long after his service ended, becoming a role model not only to his family but to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

George’s pride in wearing the uniform never faded; it was a source of honor he carried every day of his life.

Outside of his military service, George was a man of many joys, but music was perhaps his greatest passion.

An avid Beatles fan, he could recite every lyric from their vast catalogue, often singing along with enthusiasm that made those around him smile.

The Beatles’ timeless melodies became part of his life’s soundtrack, bringing joy during both quiet moments and family gatherings.

His knowledge of their music was so vast that it became a kind of signature if you knew George, you knew his love for the Fab Four.

George was also a devoted father, and his two sons, Sean and Joey, were his greatest treasures.

He poured his love and guidance into their lives, always encouraging them to follow their passions and to approach life with integrity and kindness.

His pride in them was evident to all, and the bonds they shared were built on trust, shared memories, and unconditional love.

In the community of Winter Garden, George was known not just for his veteran status, but for his approachable nature and warm personality.

Friends and neighbors recall his easy laugh, his thoughtful advice, and the way he could brighten a conversation with a quick story or a shared song. He valued connections with others and believed in leaving people better than he found them.

George’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Yet, his legacy remains woven through the memories of his military service, the joy of his music, and the love he shared so generously.

His life serves as a reminder that true richness is found not in material possessions, but in the relationships we nurture and the passions we pursue.

As Sean, Joey, and the rest of his family move forward, they will carry with them the lessons George taught: to stand tall, to love deeply, and to find joy in the simple beauty of a song well remembered.

His spirit will continue to echo in the music he loved, in the values he instilled, and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend or family.
